I can see the changed that had come over you. I mean you are in Beijing university now. Everyone beside you are every tought guy. You can handle the pressure I believed. However, I am afraid of the distence between us. It is not only about the geographical distance, but also the psychic distance.

Be honest, I changed a lot. Not like last year when I just came to Canada, that happy girl.

In front of the Forbidden City, there is the largest open-urban square in world---------Tiananmen Square. It has a great cultural significance as a symbol because it was the site of several key events in Chinese history. Through the Tiananmen Square, we can see the change of Beijing’s people and Beijing’s students. As the educational center, Beijing has almost 100 universities and colleges. Throughout the history, Beijing’s students are always participating in all kinds of activities, especially the political events. From 1919 the May Fourth Movement to 1989 June Fourth Movement, Beijing’s students showed that Chinese people need democracy in China. “Democracy” which was once consider as an ideal from the western world; is now a popular political ideal in Chinese’ mind.

about Clarence Seward Darrow

I read his diary in Chinese version when I was in high school. Now I borrow a English version from my friend. I mean Darrow is a person that I will always think about. He is a actualist and a idealist at the same time.

It is so hard for a person to keep his faith, especially to a lawyer. After seemed so many darkside of humanity, Darrow still flighted for his idea, he had a strong spirit.

"True patriotism hates injustice in its own land more than anywhere else" is a quote from him, and it makes me thinking.

In Canada, we always talk about "country". Instead of criticize other, we should criticize ourselves.

The movie " the Dreamers" remind me about the youth's passion. However, the gap between dream and fact are always make people uncomfortable.

I should leran from Darrow to be an energetic person .

generation & future

In China,children born in the 1980s, most of whom are only children (like me!!),are the luckiest generation ever. However, the truth is that many of them are facing huge troubles growing up, such as finding a job. In the 2007, 4950 thousand university's students graduated from school, 40% of them could not get a job. 30% of them had to find a job though their parents’ connections. This generation faces a highly competitive world, so they become dependent on their parents. Only-children are more conscientious, more socially dominant, less agreeable, and less open to new ideas compared Many companies agree that the ability to bear hardships and undertake hard work is more important than other requirements. They believe that this ability is something that the only-child generation lacks. "Strawberry Generation" is the term to describe this trend. They have the knowledge, skills and the creative power, but the mental character is worse – the ability to handle pressure is weak. They need independent people who can work, but also stand up to trials. However, through personal experience, there are only-children who are successful at their jobs, for instance, in IT jobs.

This is my generation. Actually, most my friends are consider that future will be hard for us. Also, lots of them have a plan on migrate to other country in the future. But i will go back to China! As more I understand other, more I understand China. Home is where I belong to.

In a hapless situation

The only USB HDD I have was lost, and my watch didn't work since last Friday.

One of my friend's major is space engineering. He has a fantastic telescope. In 15/12/2006' s evening, we saw the Geminids GEM. It was amazing sky!!! Actually, the wishs I wished that night all came true. Include the wish to came to Canada. ^_^

Saturday In Subway

Every saturday morning, I go to downtown my uncle's subway fast food resturant to work.

This is not my first work experience, in the past few years, I used to been a radio host in a student music program.

Before I came here, I never eat sandwish. Even thought the only subway resturarnt in Changsha is host by my classmate's father, I never try it.

So when I was in training to made the first one, I feel so exciting. But nowdays, when I finish the work, I feel nothing. The work in fast food resturant can give me few knowlege. Jimmy is a consumer I met in 1 years ago. He suggested me to change a parttime job. He suggested me to find a work place to have fun. who am I? This is a question troubles me a lot these days.

what kind of person I will be in the future? I don't know.

A friend told me that since I am a "Scorpion", I must be a sensitive person. Is that true?
"You must immerse yourself in an unfamiliar world in order to truely understand your own." This sentence is from the movie Nanny Diaries. It makes sense to me, however, I still confused.

It is hard to say that I am a happy person. I used to be an optimistic young fellow, but when I was 17 I changed a lot. people change.

To be a successful lawyer was the best dream I've ever had, but it is far away from me now.
History makes me happy, but also it makes me numbness . History is the narrative of mankind,
it makes me feel that all things happend in an understandable way.

This summer & my roommates

Actually, this summer is really a quiet summer to me.

The weather is really nice, and lots of interesting things happend in the city, but I didn't have any feeling to enjoy it!

Most of time, I made a choice to stay at home, with my roommates.

Bt the way, the roommates I have are the best roommates ever!. They are Charly and Sarah.

Both of them are Chinese, also both of them are from the north parts of China. Charly is from Beijing, and Sarah is from Tianjin.

Sarah finished her MBA study last year in Shulich, recently she is so busy in doing her job. However every weekend we make dinner togather, and see the movie. She always tell me some busniess stories and teach me some busniess theories. Charly is a 24 years old man, next year he will go to America. As a York-U student, he gives me lots of informations about the school.

Sinece they will leave the apartment next year, I may move out too.

The life in Jane&Finch is so simple, without them, I could not survive.
